Like the Tea Party hoopla, the broo ha ha over Obama’s speech was a protest against what exactly? Obama’s pep rally for students told them to stay in school? Like the Tea party’s were these protests apparently against non-existent issues?

BTW I know Obama smokes… anyone know an easy way to gain muscle without fat?

    The president should speak to our children, but to have questions such as "what can i do to help the president"…..prideful.
    Some of the questions were centered on Him, not the nation.

    ANYWAY….Tea party, is just debat in action….you liberals do believe in freedom of speech don’t you…you might not like it, but it is a right here in america….Remember your antiwar protests….geeesh…..

    It was a non-issue, but people were whipped into a frenzy by the right wing nutbags.

    Edit: Matthew, ONE SENTENCE was changed in the lesson plan; and the change was only from asking the kids what Obama wants them to do and how they can help *him," to asking the kids what Obama wants them to do and how they can help *themselves* to do it.

    Kind of similar to what George H.W. Bush said in his TV address to schoolchildren:

    "Write me a letter about ways you can help us achieve our goals."

    Marxist: The *speech* was not changed. No one (except aforementioned nutbags) has said that it was.

    Every president should address children at the beginning of the school year. And they should do it the way Obama did it today. He had to clean up what was originally planned.
