Black People (and everyone else)! How will an Obama presidency help us and others?

I know this is a monumental year for us and everyone else. I just wanted to see what people realy thought about the benefits of an Obama presidency and legacy. What will his presidency/legacy do for Blacks in America, mnorities as a whole, and Whites in America?

Obama would be instrumental in unifying the people of America. He will also use his position of power to improve the economical situation. He shows concern about our fuel crisis, healthcare and employment situation. I think that he actually wants to change this country, because he has a lot to prove, he knows that he has to set forth a good example because people are judging democrats, blacks and Americans based on his actions. McCain just gets to be judged as a man, but Obama represents much more than himself. The insults and attacks speak for themselves.

Why does this make my Republican neighbor upset with this news about Obama?

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama’s performance in the first 100 days of his presidency draws strong public approval in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. His performance is high among all the people in the USA. However, many Republicans are upset over this.

Did you really expect anything else? The Republicans as they are now, are a dying political party. They’re in the minority in Congress and the White house. They have little power and their ego’s are badly damaged.

They don’t want Obama to succeed at anything. If he continues to succeed and his popularity remains strong, they have no chance in 2010 and even less of a chance in 2012.

Additionally, American Republicans are finally learning the truth about how the Bush administration conducted business, destroyed this country economically and emotionally and with the "torture memo’s" having come to surface, with a big possibility of prosecutions coming to the surface, makes it even more difficult for them to deal with the reality, they were in so much much denial about.

They may act upset, but I think what’s really happening is they are ashamed, embarrassed and feel betrayed by the party they trusted and believed in.

My hope is that some good but rude awakenings will come out of this and Republicans will realize they have to change, or they will cease to exist.

I have been turned off by the divided party, hoping this does not hand the election to McCain. I stopped watching the news. Florida Michigan, Hillary and Obama split 50/50? this is upsurd.

If you ask "how can we afford Obama’s health plan?" liberals will tell you to stop watching Fox News. If you criticize anything about Obama liberals will tell you to stop watching Fox News. So if I stop watching Fox News will Obama just go away already? I’ll take that deal to save the country!

what they really want you to do is to stop learning and hearing factual information.

They would prefer that you you tune into msm, cnn or msnbc so that you only hear the white house talking points and liberal spin.

They would be joyous if you subscribed to the huffington post, moveon.org and media matters. you get bonus points for joining the dsa, cpusa and then, only then will 0bama become a good president.

Why does Fox News have Obama so up high in the polls compaired to Mccain?

It’s been released that Palin has spent 180K on her and her family’s appearance – and that’s just what they’ve allowed to get out. Keep in mind that although it seems that politics and fashion couldn’t be more polar, many are influenced by appearances and neither candidate wants to lose out on votes because of an outfit.

Did the Obama campaign FINALLY get a tough question from the media?

99.9% of the media has acted like they are part of the Obama campaign. Joe Biden finally got a couple of tough questions yesterday, and the Obama campaign has decided not to have anything to do with that TV station again- what a bunch of sissies!

The questions were about how Obama’s re-distribution of wealth is exactly the same thing that Karl Marx wrote about his Socialist vision.

This is an excellent question, Luke. I’ve watched the video at the link that Freedom provided and it was very telling. As usual, instead of answering the question directly, Biden (as does Obama), began talking about Bush and how McCain is bad for the country because he is another Bush. I absolutely agree that Obama’s plan for Income Equality is nothing more than Karl Marx’s "income redistribution" wrapped up with a different colored bow. It is the basic tenet outlined in "The Communist Manifesto." Under Obama, we will all be equal all right, but equally poor.

why is it called a smear campaign when obama is questioned on legitimate associations?

when the obama campaign made fun of mccain for not knowing how many houses he owned (because his wife is the legal owner of several, according to their prenup, so he wanted to be accurate) it was a "legitimate issue" . when the obama campaign asked if palin opposed the bridge to nowhere (even though he and biden voted for it, and decided against transfering the money to new orelans after katrina) it was "legitimate". I think it is great that someone is asking these very legitimate questions. we don’t need a radical in the whitehouse.

Calling Obama a terrorist is a smear. Saying he is "palling around with terrorists" is a smear. Do you think the US government would have allowed him be involved at all in government in the first place if those allegations were true?? Do you really think Obama poses some sort of terrorist threat to the US? If you are remotely intelligent you will answer no to those questions.

I don’t want to hear lies about the candidates. I want to hear about what they’re going to do to fix the horrible position our country is in right now.

Will the Obama campaign be able to survive the 42 cent blow I will be dealing it today?

One of the humorous parts of being a Libertarian is that you get the candidates from each of the parties who dominate the Parliament of Whores shilling you for money. Yesterday Obama delivered the first pitch, and I mailed the postage paid envelope back today. Will this 42 cent blow to his campaign be fatal?

P.S. – Don’t worry, you Obama cultists, I will do the same when McCain the free speech choker comes calling for cash.
